Interior Design Drafter / Estimator for Florida Kitchen Center, Inc

Duties include: Prepare accurate cost estimates and material takeoffs from architectural drawings and project specifications. Design custom cabinetry and interior layouts using KCD, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, ensuring compliance with client needs and building codes. Coordinate project timelines, manage scheduling, and perform administrative tasks. Serve as primary client contact for inquiries, meetings, and project communication. Oversee material sourcing, procurement, and vendor negotiation. Liaise with manufacturing, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure design integrity and on-schedule completion. Track project milestones and resolve issues related to design, materials, or installation.
Minimum Requirements:
Option 1: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Interior Design or a related field AND at least 2 years of professional experience in interior design, drafting, or design coordination.
Option 2 (In Lieu of Degree): At least 4 years of direct work experience in interior design, drafting, or design coordination, which must include: (i) A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in interior design, drafting, or estimation within the cabinetry or related construction industries. (ii) At least 1 year of hands-on experience using KCD, 20/20, AutoCAD, and SketchUp to produce technical drawings, layouts, and 3D models.
